In his last breath, the Shaman will use the stone of his staff to fill the spirits' totem with souls, summoning the Spirit of the Forest, an immortal enemy whom you don't have to defeat, but rather destroy its power source. For the most part, it will only protect the totem while launching projectiles, summoning enemies, casting lightning, and attacking you with roots relentlessly.
