Minecraft servers can automatically offer a resource pack to players when they join.
Open:
server.properties
Find these settings:
resource-pack=
resource-pack-sha1=
require-resource-pack=false
The resource-pack value needs to contain a direct URL to the resource pack file.
Example:
resource-pack=https://example.com/serverpack.zip
Do not use a link that opens a normal download webpage. Minecraft needs to be able to directly download the file.
It is also recommended to provide the SHA1 hash:
resource-pack-sha1=YOUR_SHA1_HASH
The hash lets Minecraft verify that players received the correct version of the file.
If the resource pack is optional, leave:
require-resource-pack=false
If the pack is required for your server to work correctly, change it to:
require-resource-pack=true
Players who refuse the required pack will not be allowed to continue joining.
You can also customize the message players see with:
resource-pack-prompt=
After making your changes, restart the server and join using a normal Minecraft client.
If you later update the resource pack, remember that the file and its SHA1 hash will change.
