Hello! Since February I have been doing my best to try to learn Java and coding Minecraft Plugins, specifically making custom items. This process has been a little bit hard for me since I have never done much coding before and I also have to focus on college and my job. In the past 4 months of me trying to understand Java, Bukkit, making simple Plugins and failing with some projects I feel like I learned a lot! Although at the same time I think I could have done this a lot more efficiently and especially learn more. Does anyone have any tips on how to approach this more effectively? I really want to make this work as I found myself really enjoying making those Plugins even when I can’t find a bug in my code for days, in the future I would like to make this at least my side hustle as I’m really broke :’), I thought about making item plugins for people for free until I have all the knowledge I need but I don’t feel confident being commissioned for something even for free when I don’t know if I actually succeed in delivering the thing they want without major bugs. Thank you and any advice would be appreciated!!
