Paper has a built-in Anti-Xray system, so you do not always need an additional plugin just to hide ores from basic Xray clients.
First stop your server and create a backup.
Open:
config/paper-world-defaults.yml
Find:
anticheat:
anti-xray:
Set:
enabled: true
Paper provides several Anti-Xray modes.
engine-mode: 1 is lighter and replaces hidden ores with normal blocks.
engine-mode: 2 provides stronger obfuscation by mixing hidden blocks with replacement blocks, but it can require more processing.
For most small servers I recommend starting with mode 1 and testing whether it is enough for your needs.

After changing the configuration, save the file and fully restart the server.
Do not use /reload for this. Paper recommends restarting the server when applying Anti-Xray configuration changes.
If you want different settings for a specific world, Paper also supports per-world configuration through paper-world.yml.
Remember that Anti-Xray is not a complete anti-cheat. It makes Xray significantly less useful, but determined players may still use other methods to locate ores.
