Hey guys,

I've been a long time player of Minecraft, since I was around 12 (currently 28) - A lot of that time has been spent on multiplayer, either as a player or as staff. I've owned a number of servers, but ultimately they died out.

I left Law Enforcement in early January due to injury and as a family decision, and because of the absolutely awful job market we have, I'm still unemployed. Thus, I've been spending a good chunk of my time working on a project I've felt interested in for a number of years that doesn't seem to exists anymore - A competitve farming / agriculture server with leaderboards, ZERO pay to win / buyable advantages, etc. I've put a significant amount of work into this and am probably nearing a playtest, but I've been working on everything alone.

Currently, I have a completely self-sustaining plugin that handles everything. Gameplay features, farming island generation, NPCs, Holograms, Voting system, Crates, a "battlepass" type system, ranks, prefixes, custom scoreboard / TAB / MOTD, full supporter system with stripe payments from the website, a whole applications / appeals / reports / wiki / leaderboards system built into the website, and a discord server - and EVERYTHING communicates seamlessly with eachother on a dedicated server with a 100% hardened and a no-outside-access SQL database. Currently using Pterodactyl for server / bot hosting and Astro as the website framework. The project at this point is probably thousands and thousands of lines of code in total.

Reverting back to the title, how do you guys find people to help with your significant projects? How do you find trustworthy AND knowledgable people that are actually willing to contribute (and not expecting a big payout)? I've never personally contributed this much time and effort into a project, but I beleive there's probably a decent sized niche for it. I just find it hard to really trust anyone with it, also.
