Hi,
I’m planning to set up a Minecraft server and I’d like some feedback on whether this hardware is sufficient and well-balanced for my use case. Minecraft 1.20.1 Fabric Around 180 mods Heavy world generation (Chunky pre-generation + JJ Thunder To The Max)No plugins, mods only 2× Intel Xeon E5-2676 v3 16 GB ECC RAM available for the server (only one stick installed for now, more can be added) NVMe M.2 128 GB (system)NVMe M.2 256 GB (Minecraft server / world) SATA SSD for backups Pre-generating chunks before opening the server Survival gameplay with multiple tech and world-gen mods Small to medium player base (not a public mega server) Is this CPU setup suitable for a heavily modded Fabric server with large world generation? Is 16 GB RAM enough, or should I upgrade to 32 GB+? Any recommendations for JVM flags or Fabric performance mods? Would single-thread performance be a bottleneck in this setup?
