A while ago, I made a post about Laminate (Check it out here if you haven't yet). TL;DR: It's a superset of paper that allows for the use of mixins next to the Bukkit API.
Not only can you now download and compile it yourself, I'm also hoping for it to gain some traction and to open up development for everyone.
