Hey all! I run a fairly successful Minecraft server for my YouTube and Twitch community! The server originally started as a passion project, where I was making a minigames server similar to hypixel. My old server on aternos for my stream community just wasn't cutting it so I decided to transfer it over. Since the minigames server was on 1.21.4, I also made the world 1.21.4.
Was wondering if its possible to make a server that is 1.8 for minigames and 1.21.4+ for survival. I have viaversion and I have multiverse, but I'm wondering If i can get those amazing 1.8 pvp mechanics back for minigames WITHOUT the use of multiple servers and linking them with a proxy. My server is currently in 1.21.4 Paper with a mix of paper and spigot plugins.
Players have been asking for a version update to spears and I don't want to update all 50+ of my plugins, some are just for survival and some are for 1.8 minigames, but a version update would require everything updated. Idk if some plugins are updated to the latest verions so that's why im here. I'm using Per World Plugins to seperate plugins per worlds.
If anyone could help me that would mean the world to me! Thanks.
Edit: fairly successful server for a small content creator like me. I have maybe 10 players active daily 1-2 at a time usually, but when I'm livestreaming it goes up to more like 10-15
