Recently switched from a dedicated MC host to a VPS, and am fighting to keep RAM under control. Set up Aikar's flags for 6gb (copy-paste from Papermc.io) and still get massive RAM usage that climbs up well over 20gb (24gb VPS) until Debian kills the process. This is most noticeable when Bedrock players (via the most recent Geyser release) teleport - up to 5gb will be consumed in a single teleport and not be freed up, but still happens slowly with no Bedrock players online. Any ideas what is happening here? Profiler does not show the massive amount of RAM, however top shows Java using 17.8gb RAM and climbing as of when I pulled this:

EDIT: Pulled another profile with Java at 22gb: Profile @ 07:56AM 2/20/2026 | spark
This makes no sense. Everything I read says either "leave a couple GB" or "allocate half of your RAM", this is running out with only 1/4 of my RAM allocated, and at this point I am not sure the server can run at peak capacity (25-30 players) if I reduce it anymore. Previous host was selling me 14gb of RAM but I did not have root access to view total RAM usage.
