I recently have been playing on a private server hosted on my pc with one friend. Last night the client kept refusing to connect. It would only allow me to connect through the WAN IP when I was connected to the same network (WAN Client IP and WAN Server IP match) and my friend cannot join at all. I cannot join on other networks. portchecker.io says 19132 is open
we have never used the in-game chat or placed any signs
the server was not whitelisted, but the ip was also not shared anywhere
things i tried:
i flushed my dns and reset winsock and did all that ipconfig /xxx stuff
I tried adding a whitelist, nothing
I tried looking for a way to add a rules plugin or something, couldnt find a way using the vanilla server on the Minecraft website
minecraft server status sites cannot see the server
enable-query = true in server.properties
am I cooked? I can't figure out what's going on.
I was very careful to not break any rules by not chatting or placing signs.
Only my friend and I were on there so I'm not sure what else it could be. I tried flu
I checked the community server blacklist and it said my server was offline but that's just not true when portchecker confirms the port is active and listening
tldr; two friends on vanilla server, portchecker says open yet nobody can connect except from LAN, tried lots of stuff
