Clarification for Ubuntu mc bedrock server update needed.

A friend and I made a home server (Ubuntu 26.04.1 LST) and need to update to the new version of bedrock. We know we need to copy the (world) folder and (server.prop). What i need to know is how to go forward. Do we just download the new .zip and unzip? Will it automatically replace the previous version or will we need to delete the old version first? Thanks.
