Did the 1.18 terrain change wreck any player builds on your server?
I run a modded server and we’re looking at a modpack update that changes world gen. I keep going back and forth on it because I don’t want to find out the hard way.
For anyone who went through 1.17 to 1.18, or a modpack update that regenerated chunks — did you lose any player builds to it?
Things ending up buried, floating in the air, or sitting in water that wasn’t there before? And if it happened, what did you actually do about it? Restore a backup, rebuild by hand, or just tell people it’s part of the world’s history now?
Trying to work out whether this is something people plan around or something you just eat when it happens.
