.. you probably ran into the same issue I had: how to confirm if it's working? Most public Minecraft server status checks don't support v6 at all or do so unreliably.

So I created one, supporting dual-stack end to end, supporting java and bedrock servers:

Live MC Dualstack Server Status Checker

Find the live server status checker (free for non-commercial use) here:
https://www.poggensee.it/mc_dualstack_check/

Benefits: True dual-stack, never falls back to checking only one protocol, will always report both IPv4 and IPv6 status independently, allows you to define ports per protocol separately. Clearly reporting the nature of connection errors, if any. Lightweight and fast.

Sources

Also, for those interested to roll out their own, sources are open, released under AGPL on GitHub:
https://github.com/poeggi/mc_dualstack_checker

NOTE: This project is co-developed with Claude Code for the coding and deployment logic, not for the architecture part. Also security and consistency reviews manually. Testing manually.
