Hello, I am in need of some help here. I am currently trying to make a server for me and a few friends to play on, however it is a much older server version (version 1.4.2) due to cool mods we wanted to use not being updated since then. I have already gone through the tedious process of getting all the mods installed and working on my client side, and copied the client folders so it is easy to share with my friends and they can just drop into their versions folder in %appdata%.
My problems are currently stemming from actually creating the server though. I have the 1.4.2 server jar file, and have port forwarded. I have searched quite awhile, and there are very little, to no tutorials on setting up a modded server for this old of a version in modern day (most tutorials i have seen are either not on this old of a version, or they are from like 12 years ago when you still had a seperate jar and exe file for the server) Can anyone give me some advice or point me in the right direction? Thank you
