I barely touched this side of Minecraft hosting and tutorials seem to be misleading and/or not working in my case.
This modded server needs to host from 3 up to 25 players. It will have just a handful of mods (mostly items and transportation) on a pre-generated world. I will dedicate an entire gaming pc for this. It will only run Windows 11 and the server itself. I will not play Minecraft on it. Previously I had experience with MineColab, and nothing else.
My specs are:
I7 12700KF
32GB RAM
1TB M2 NVMe
RTX 4070
Wired connection (pc - router - modem - optical fiber)
Things I don't know are:
-Best way to set up a server
-Port forwarding (seems like nothing works in my case)
-Must have plugins, installing simple voice mod and organizing teams
-Security, optimization and stability
Friends and friends of friends will be invited, but there was a case when friend of a friend invited someone they barely knew. So properly securing the server is definitely needed.
