how do you add builds like spawns or lobbies to your server?

Question for people who run servers: when you want to add a spawn, lobby, arena or any premade build, how do you get it onto the server? WorldEdit or FAWE schematics, uploading a world, building it live, something else? What's annoying about it, like plugin permissions, version issues, or having to stop the server? And do you run Java, Bedrock, or both (Geyser)? Trying to understand how admins actually handle this, any answer helps.
