I have a friend who is a medium size YouTuber 150k ish subs and he gave me permission to run a community server for his fanbase so I can make some money. I’m using a paid host (eventually want to get a rack if it grows enough to save money over time) but I kind of want to ballpark how many members to set the cap at because 1. I don’t know how many players my server can realistically hold before becoming a laggy mess and 2. I have no clue how many players will even be on at release.
Server specs -
16 vcores of a ryzen 9 9950x
32 gb ddr5 ram
I have a good amount of plugins installed so currently it idles with no players at 3-5gb, I made a custom clearlagg type plugin to remove ground items and other things that could rapidly drop tps, as well as limiting redstone to also save on lag.
How many players could I comfortably handle with these specs?
