So I just got an old Dell Vostro 3470 with an i3-8100, 128GB of SATA SSD storage space and a single stick of 8GB 3200MHz RAM. Planning to self-host a server for me and my friends to play on with that computer, while I will be playing on a separate rig. Is 8GB of RAM enough, or do I need to add more RAM? Also, I heard self-hosting requires a CPU with good single-core performance, so is my i3-8100 sufficient or do I need to upgrade? Currently eyeing the i7-8700, and planning to upgrade to 24GB DDR4 3200MHz.
