How to setup a Minecraft server

Me and my buddy realized combined we have enough spare parts to make a spare computer and we wanna run a Minecraft server off of it. What’s some advice to get it running, we were gonna have it double as a home server. The specs are 48gb of ddr4 3200mhz 16-20-20-38 timing and a ryzen 3600g as the processor. Any help and guidance would be appreciated.
