Heya good ppl of Reddit!
So, long story short: I never play Minecraft myself, but I'm a big fan of Minecraft Dungeons (if that helps at all).
My kids play "normal" Minecraft mostly on Xbox or PC (bedrock version).
Recently they started to watch various YouTube videos about Minecraft and urged me to try out Minecraft private server on our already existing self-hosted docker server.
I played with various types of servers (neoforge, purpur,) features (Geyser/Floodgate), got stuck with versions, mods, plug-ins and add-ons incompatibilities.
I feel like an idiot now and here's my question to the community: is there a comprehensive guide/best practices for self-hosted Minecraft serves/add-ons or everyone is on their own and have to suffer on theor own way to success?
