Title says it all. I've got a group of friends and we want to play modded together. One of us can self host a server no problem, but they're in Texas while I'm in Ontario, and in the past, that's usually led to large amounts of lag for me, sometimes almost unplayable.
Right now we use a server host site and it definitely helps, but for my friend, self hosting would be the most ideal. We're not really trying to get free because we are willing to pay some, but I don't know if there's anything we can do to decrease lag on some of our ends, mostly mine.
