I run an smp on an “old ” (10 years) macbook intel 16gb ram. Players kept reporting lag. After loads of optimizing everything in the spark profile turned green except for the max mspt. the average tick was fine. The laptop always ran hot but i never thought anything of it. turns out that when the cpu hits 100c it immidiatly turns down to 800mhz instead of 3600mhz. setting max frequency to 3000mhz fixed it. just wanted to share that
