Edit: Actively updating and editing with more information each time im asked to clarify something so nobody has to scroll down and look for themselves.
Hello this is my first attempt at starting a server and im generally new to this whole process.
I'm playing Better than Adventure using prism. I'm on windows 10.
I have set up port-forwarding through my router and opened 25565 port on my pc. I have set up a inbound rule and outbound rule, with it allowing connections private, public, and domain. configured to the port 25565
Made IPV4 static
We also tried making a separate inbound rule specifically for the java version and setting it to a program
I can start it and connect locally just fine, but other people cannot connect to my public ip until i turn off my firewall on my pc.
I'm using XFINITY and my router firewall settings have been set to minimum, i do not see any additional tabs to allow programs through on the browser.
Sorry if I didnt provide enough info, ive been guided through this process by like 2 other people and no one can seem to figure out why this isnt working. i just dont know where to go from here or how to begin troubleshooting and fixing
