Bit of a weird one.
I run a small Purpur 1.21.11 server and recently moved it from Europe to NA East because most of my players are based in the US.
The move itself went fine, but now whenever I join from the UK I’m sitting between 1100–1200ms. I expected my ping to go up, but not anywhere near that high.
From the server side everything looks normal. TPS is stable, RAM usage looks fine, and I can’t see anything unusual in the console. It’s hosted on PebbleHost with 34GB
I’ve joined American servers before and never had such a high ping so is there something I’ve done incorrectly?
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is this likely to be a routing issue between my ISP and the host, or does 1100ms usually point to something else?
I’d rather not move everything back to Europe if there’s a fix I’m overlooking.
Any advice would be appreciated.
