My server world size is too big, what should I do?

I am running a Minecraft server (Paper/Velocity) with a daily peak of 50–80 concurrent players. In the early stages, I didn't enforce world borders, which resulted in players establishing bases as far as 25,000+ blocks from spawn.

My world data is currently growing by 300–500 MB daily due to exploration and the hostings disk isn't infinite. I need to implement a world border to cap this growth, but I cannot simply set a small radius (e.g., 10k x 10k) without cutting off active players and their progress.

What should I do in this situation? Thanks
