I’ve been developing PocketMC Desktop, a Windows-native Minecraft Java server manager for individuals who want to self-host on their own PC without managing everything manually.

Main things it handles:

- Multi-instance server management with isolated folders

- Vanilla / Paper / Fabric / Forge support (Direct installation, No need to download JAR files manually)

- Automatic Java runtime provisioning mapped to MC versions

- Built-in Playit.gg tunnel flow for public access

- Live CPU / RAM/player monitoring

- In-app plugin/mod browsing from Modrinth + CurseForge

- Live-safe backups + restore

- Crash auto-restart and cleanup of child Java processes

It’s open source (MIT), installs per-user, and doesn’t require Java to be installed.

If you’ve used tools like Auto-MCS, Fork, MCServerSoft, or SquidServers, I’d appreciate your feedback on which operational workflows still feel awkward and what you’d like to see improved.
