Hey everyone, I’m pretty new to running a Minecraft server and I’m honestly stuck.
I run a Java server with Geyser so Bedrock players can join. Java players are mostly fine, but PS5 players specifically keep getting kicked or disconnected, sometimes right after joining and sometimes randomly while playing. Xbox and PC Bedrock seem more stable, which makes this even more confusing.

What I’ve noticed:
I’m sure this is something I’ve misconfigured or overlooked — I’m very new to server admin stuff and would really appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction (configs to check, known PS5 issues, plugin conflicts, etc.).

- Software: Paper
- Java version: (1.21.11)
- Geyser + Floodgate installed
- EssentialsX (recently updated)
- Towny Advanced, MCMMO, DiscordSRV, WorldEdit
- Crossplay server (Java + Bedrock)
What I’ve noticed:
- PS5 players disconnect more than anyone else
- Sometimes it happens on join, sometimes while moving or chatting
- Console doesn’t always show a clear error
- I’ve already tried updating plugins and restarting (no /reload)
