Hello, I realize I am splitting hairs here, as 1.8 is the last version with the (good) old pvp. But I am interested in hosting versions before this one.
I have it working on vanilla, and most things I would want can be done with command blocks such as randomtp. However, I thought it was worth asking if there was any server software with plugins before 1.8, since things like land claim can't really be done with just commands. I know bukkit was taken down before this due to some legal issue, but I'm not sure if I'm missing some other option here. For now I just have a whitelist system and will set up regular backups.
