UPDATE: THE EXCHANGE, REBUILT
The Exchange was two input boxes and a number. It now shows you where the rate has been, explains how the price is actually made, lets you set a target and walk away, and gives you somewhere to put coins a hacker cannot reach. Counter-Intelligence got an upgrade too, and a few things that were quietly wrong are now right.

THE MARKET, AT A GLANCE
- The top of the page is now a live market panel: the rate, your Shards, your NVC and anything you have in Cold Storage, side by side.
- A price graph shows where the rate has been across the last 24 readings, with the percentage change next to it.
- The graph gives you the shape of the trend only. Exact numbers stay in the ticker, which is still rendered as an image so bots cannot read the market for you.
- A new How the price is made panel explains the Automated Market Maker in plain words: the rate is the ratio of Shards to NVC in the pool, buying pushes the price up, selling pushes it down, and big trades move the price against you.
LIMIT ORDERS
- Set a target and walk away. Sell when the rate rises fires the moment the rate reaches your price or better. Buy when the rate drops fires when it falls to your price or below.
- Your funds are held aside the moment you place the order, and come straight back if you cancel.
- Three orders waiting at once, and they expire after 48 hours with everything returned.
- A filled order is a real trade: same 5% fee, same per transaction cap, and it counts against your weekly trade limit exactly like a manual one.
- Targets have to sit within 3x of the current rate in either direction, so nothing can be parked at an impossible price.
COLD STORAGE
- A hack steals a slice of the NVC sitting in your wallet. It cannot touch anything in Cold Storage.
- Lock up to 5.00 NVC for 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. Locked coins cannot be spent, traded or stolen until the term is up.
- Waiting out the term costs nothing. Breaking the lock early costs 10% of what is inside, and that goes to the Syndicate Treasury.
- One deposit at a time, and after any withdrawal the vault stays shut for 12 hours before it takes coins again.
- It is a safety deposit box for a nest egg, not a bunker for your whole balance. Everything else still has to take its chances.
COUNTER-INTELLIGENCE: PICK YOUR WEAPON
- When someone fails an attack on you and leaves a trace, you no longer only get to hack them back.
- Every trace now offers Hack back or DDoS them. Go after their wallet, or take their rigs offline, whichever hurts that particular target more.
- Either one still spends the trace instead of an operation charge, and everything else works as before.
FIXES
- Est. Loot in the target list was wrong for anyone running Parasite Deep. It ignored the skill entirely, so the list quoted less than you would actually take. The confirmation screen was already correct. Both now use the same numbers as the real payout.
- Username styles in the attack confirmation overlay are finally fixed. A style rule on the overlay was overriding custom name colours.
- Pages growing a huge empty space below the footer after clicking between tabs on the Dashboard and Operations. A leftover hover tooltip was stretching the page; tabs now clear it.
- The vulnerability scanner threw a script error on the Agent tab. Fixed.
