what are the current setup to prevent players to "cheat" with client side mods?

I'm hosting a local server for just the few of my friends, nothing fancy like 5 players at max, but I noticed that half of them probably have a fullbright mod or brightness set up to the max because all their explorations in caves is done without torches. also we are still at the beginning and strip-mining for resources but yet one player has 20 diamonds when our average is barely 5 so he might be x-raying.

of course you can say it's your friends you should just confront them, yeah but they can still lie and make up excuses, plus it's just annoying...

The server is still vanilla but I wanted to install some mods like fast leaf decay or the tombstone mod. once I move to a modded server what are some good anti-cheat mods I could implement?

oh also anything to prevent players from using minimap? I'm ok with setting waypoints but the minimap just spoils all the hidden mineshafts or nether bastions exploration :(
